Romance.
I think that was the core of the old Mass Effect strips. They were a couple around whom everything else could revolve. Ashley, Lil Shepy, you know.
Also I think Katarina must be one of the people in the romance. She feels like your 'Shepard' figure and there's loads of possibilities regarding what the others will think.
WTF moments are great
But I dunno if we need bigger plots. I like the 'slice of life' approach you currently take.
