Artist's Comments

When I gone at san diego comicon last year I met mike, and give him a french edition of aspen comics product to sigh . He asked me if He could take a look at it more closely, because He never saw what our version looked like. He asked this very politely, nearly excused to take my time; I was really surprised, I mean, spending more time with Michael Turner is maybe what all his fan asked for.
In any case I noticed He was ill or somethin, even if I knew it like most of us.
He raised from his chair and we took a picture; I asked nothing for that, but it seem Michael was like that; close to people and giving every fan a bit of interest.
The comic book industry always described him as a cleaver guy. that was right.

Since the time I'm trying to make part of the bizness, I always wished I could call Mike "my friend" one day; but It will never really be the case now, and he left a big empty space behind him.

I'm still wondering why good guy pass away before bad guys...

this pic is not really finished yet, like all works Michael tuner were working on recently
I will end it later though; but wanted to leave this like that for the moment. It's appropriate

Anyway, rest in peace Mr Turner, thanks for your work, spending a lot of time studying it and learning from you.

gorgeous piece,J. and your words got me crying, i agree with the good people being taken early, but in reality bad ones go early too, they just don't leave a mark to be remembered by. my sister died of cancer 19 years ago at the age of 23, exceled in sports, was choir girl and even came 2nd place in a talent pageant (sang the rose) she was remembered by lots because of her caring attitude and great demeanor. michael has left a huge mark, with his comics and with every nice thing he did at conventions just to name a few, he will be remembere for that always .

Even though you said it's not finished, it is still a beautiful tribute.

A Legend that will not be forgotten.
He's gone physically, but everything else about him is invincible.

Nice work here.
