Description
Well; finally she's here !
Here's the Dark Phœnix
The most hardiest thing in that work was to..... scanned it in 6 time.... and after I have to melt them... (and you probably know what is the fact of scanned several time a picture >a true wound ! each time one has needs to reorganise the lightning, the
orientation....)
nah;I'm kidding! themost hardiest thing was to paint it, and with the goal Jean grey looks realistic (unless a bit )
Well,about the picture now>
A the reverse of the black phenix of the origins; the hair is smooth here and do not leave in all the directions; it is more due to a technical constraint than has another thing in fact !
Smooth hair facilitates work largely, especially when one works from a point of view known as "realist"
She's rather calm here; but her glance leaves has to think that she's not completely innocent don't trust her nice look; she's a devil :lol
Obviously I gave her her "calm" look and not the other which is agressive (black eyes; stange eyes shapes etc.).
Basic model for the face: Angie Everhart
Phœnix in background: resumption of the the original drawing from John Byrne.
Hair;body, position, colors setting;light and shads:no references; by my own point of view...then mistakes should be present!
Gear:acrylics; ink; acrylics inks,pastel.
Size: ouch...a bit more than A3
begun: June 2004
finished:august 2004
Hope you like this one
[édit 09 06 06] brand new version; more shad; more lights, more hair..... more heavier pic too sorry

She does not have the wild insane look of Dark Phoenix. Looks more like Phoenix in a Dark Phoenix costume.
