/!\ UPDATED VERSION !
I guess there's less mistakes now :D

I'll update this tutorial soon, with all mistakes corrected (or at least the max. I can :D )

That's a tutorial to have this kind of rendering:

Should have been really better, but my english begin to fail when it's about going on high detailled explanations.
Beside, finding the right translations of photoshop , from French to English is not always that easy :D

Think about reading THE LAST chapter first. Doesn't really makes sense ; but could be usefull.:)

Hope I helped some of you with this stuff !
Don't forget to leave comments :D

Thanks for the tutorial! As you say in the end some people doesn't know how to isolate the black lines correctly, I am one of them. I am using the trick you say at the end but it is not perfect at all, specially if the ink is not completely black or I want to do it from pencil drawings. So that tutorial you suggest would be great.

scanning in bitmap= scanning only pure blacks. so it can't work with pencils :)

or pencils is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more work. and it need to have extremly tight pencils, mostly done on bristol paper; something smooth; otherwise you'll got grain, and that's not cool at all

It has very little mistakes and still is very clear, besides, english is not the native language for many of us, so...
