Here is again a fanart for FFX
I made it fr my coloring classes we had a subject on the "colors atmosphere"
Then I made this one; that was the occasion to show my work to the "teacher" who is colorist and had a real judgement on it; showing that I haven't made many digital colors in my life :b
Here I use cold and hot teints, and many filters too.
I made an FFX fanart for easier reasons:
first; it's about character who already exist, so I hadn't to brainstorming about the characters' colors
second;I knew that if the pic wasn't too bad; I could show it on the net knowing that FFx is a knowed game indeed!
Tidus was fun to draw; I had some problems with his expression, and I had to restart his head 3 times before I get somethin' aproximatly correct; auron is not "bigger" than the original ; but hey..... I haven't realize already that point.... and that was too late when I see that ! I think that 'not too problematic however.
Hum.... Yuna was the more fun character I draw on this pic; problably cos it's a portrait view, and cos that's a woman of course
well well well; that's isn't perfect, and sometimes the blue reflects gives strange feelin' (like on Tidus head) but however I hope you'll like this one
[é]24-4-05 : Brand new version
-new water; suck less than before !
-new sky
-add reflects; change a bit the colors, add some effects.....
-new presentation too
-enjoy !
[édit] 28/07/06: new version: new colors, moe details, more sahd ; light, contrast; worked on the lines; new files: heavier and taller than before.
Wow very nice, I hope you don't mind me saying you've gave a lot of Michael-Turner style to it! (Which is good in some respects!)
I love each one of their expressions, and the general layout and involvement is fantastic. ^^
And of course it must be said that the lineart if fantastic and the colouring is gorgeous, it's nice to see some unusual lighting - nice choice of colours

yeah ; yuna turn a bit like turner's style..... mm old michael turner style when he was on witchblade or in the 1st issues of fathom ; cuz' i think his drawing are less and less interesting with the time !
but, thks for that however; I know that tuner is very appreciated in general (and I appreciate this guy too )
and I m' glad you like the colors adjust
No problems. I saw after visiting your gallery (which is very impressive, by the way!) that you're highly influenced by Turner.
I have seen some of the more recent TopCow comics of Witchblade etc., and the quality did decrease (But I know that another artist took over after a while -can't remember his name- but he really sucked -_-)
Anyway, you're welcome. =]

hum.
I'm not influenced by turner; but by Silvestri.....; many people told me that; but this is wrong!
and turner was influenced by silvestri too... wow; like aproximatly every guy of top cow finally.....
the fact is silvestri got a typical way to do the eyes; and turner done the same;with more eyelashes however; and I think that's this thing who give that feelin' of being inspirated by turner in some of my drawing..... but hey; expect the aspect of the face (sometimes) I have nothing of turner in my style.
He got a particular way to do anatomy; especially when it's under the hips.... generally it's without shapes and vey long; I always disliked that !
hum.... I don't know who is the drawer of witchblade actually in the USA; in france were are on the issue 68 if my memorie is good; and the drawer is FJ manapul.....
I think turner was the best on this serie.... nobody could have really do better on this than him!
It was cool to have this conversation with you; see ya soon!
